Why do they have to come up with this every year or so? I think I've heard it about 2 or 3 times already before this one. There is no way that Bayern can do that to Rensing, and the only reason they'd buy Frey would be to be Frey's deputy, which I don't think Frey would like.

If Bayern don't give Rensing the first team place they've been promising him for ages, they will get a bad name and will lose a strong footing during future contract negotiations because their promises would start losing credibility.

Oliver Kahn is the best goalkeeper in the history of football .Reinsing is good but **** them all because oli is the best. But if he really retires Reinsing is a good replacment but nobody can replace Khan.

I don't want to see Boruc at Bayern! Living in Glasgow gives me the opportunity(!) to follow his form and beleive me for 36 matches out of 40 he is up against mediocre opponents in the Scottish League.

Some may quote his Champions League heroics but when it comes to the crunch he isn't the real deal.

His attitude is another problem and we really do not want to retuern to the days of FC Hollywood do we?

Give Rensing his shot, after all even Ollie had to start somewhere.

Bayern definitely needs a new goal keeper. Kahn is going to retire at the end of this season and Rensing is going to take his place. So that leaves Rensing as first choice and Kraft as second. But what about a third goalkeeper? Bayern needs a third keeper. It's not the first time that the first and second choice keepers were injured simultaneously. Even this season happened and Dreher stepped in. I'm assuming the 39 year old is going to re-retire at the end of this season.

BAYERN MUNCHEN, Butt Latest Keeper Linked with German team

German keeper Hans-Jörg Butt has become the latest goalkeeper linked with a move to German champions Bayern Munich.

The ‘Münchner Merkur’ has reported that the 34 year old Benfica keeper is a target for Bayern as they look to bring in an experienced back up for Michael Rensing.

Despite media reports in the past few days linking Bayern with Sebastian Frey and Marco Amelia, Rensing remains the number one for next season and the Bavarians are only looking to bring in a reserve keeper.

Butt is currently in Angola with his club side Benfica, and his advisor Jörg Neblung, who also represents Robert Enke, has refused to confirm or deny the story.

“Munich would be a great destination for Hans-Jörg, but he still has a valid contract with Benfica. But I’m ruling nothing out” he explained.

Butt is only a reserve at Benfica with Quim the first choice and he has made only one appearance in the Portuguese league this season.

The German keeper has made 324 Bundesliga appearances during spells at Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen. He has three international caps to his name.

Schwarzer's Juve and Bayern snubs
Keeper explains Fulham choice

Mark Schwarzer has confirmed he turned down Juventus and Bayern Munich to sign for Fulham.

On Thursday, it was revealed that the Australian will join Fulham from Middlesbrough.

The 35-year-old has explained he could have moved abroad, but was keen to secure a starting role, rather than potentially play as back-up to Juve's Gianluigi Buffon.

"There were offers on the table but the only thing that mattered to me was regular first-team football," he said on Sky Sports News.

"And obviously someone like Juventus you don't have to be Einstein to work out that you have Buffon there and it is very unlikely you are going to play too many games under Buffon as he is such a world class keeper.

"And with Bayern Munich it was a similar situation with their goalkeeping situation."

"I want to qualify for the next World Cup and hopefully be part of that so I had to go somewhere I would be considered No.1."

-Skysports-

Like Schwarzer says, he don´t go to the team were he be No.2. So next season No.1 is Rensing. Not Frey, Amelia or anybody else.

I don't like it. A club like Bayern who will be serious contender in the CL next season with all the new players should not have unexperienced keepers like Rensing and second rated like Butt in its squad. Kahn's absence will surely be conspicuous next season. :(

You didn't like how he played against milan?
And if he doesn't play now when will he play?
We need a #1 for the whole season...Rensing can't just play in the bundesliga and be replaced in the Cl by somebody who sits on the bench for the whole season. And i don't think there is a world class gk who would come as a #2

Rensing deserves his chance and I have faith in him. As Matakos said, he needs to play eventually and I think if Kahn and Sepp Maier think he can do it, he can do it. He just needs to learn to concentrate for 90+, not just when there's a scramble in the box. I would think that's easy enough to learn. If things aren't going well, there's a transfer window in January. Of course, he'll be fine so that doesn't even matter.
